Safety of Plexus Slim {Ingredients List}

SAFETY of Plexus Slim by Jennifer Loewen
(For everyone, but specifically pregnant and breastfeeding moms)
In this article, you will find the breakdown of EACH ingredient in the Plexus Slim, and we will observe each one carefully for it’s SAFETY….specifically for pregnant and breastfeeding mothers. For each ingredient, I will give the following: #1, a brief overview of it’s health benefits (therefore why it was chosen to be part of the formula for Slim), #2, it’s source (if applicable and not obvious), #3, it’s safety for pregnant and breastfeeding mothers, #4, and finally, some “non-Plexus” sources of information/articles regarding the safety of each ingredient (unless it’s very obvious and just common sense; like in the case of fruits and vegetables, etc).
The purpose of this article is to give all pregnant & breastfeeding mothers perfect peace of mind…..including everyone else as well, mother or not!! Also, if you have been approached by anyone regarding the “safety” of Plexus Slim, this will equip you with all the knowledge you need to calm their concerns. We all want only the best quality supplements for our health, and we want to know exactly what’s in them, and rightfully so:)
Here’s a brief break down of the ingredients in Plexus Slim…..each ingredient has been very carefully chosen for the effects it has on our health. Combined into a whole, a.k.a. as our “pink drink”, these ingredients are making a huge, positive impact on our bodies, causing so many of our body’s systems to come into balance once again. None of these ingredients were a mistake, rather, each plays it’s perfect role in the Slim.
Check out the ABUNDANT benefits of Plexus Slim:
#1. What are the benefits?
Chromium is called an essential trace element because small amounts of it are necessary for human health. Chromium is used for blood sugar control for people with Types 1 and 2 diabetes, pre-diabetes, and high blood sugar due to steroids. Chromium helps move glucose into the bloodstream to be used as energy and to turn fats, carbs and proteins into energy. It is also helpful in building muscle and burning fat; it improves athletic performance and increases energy. Chromium is also used for depression, lowering bad cholesterol, and raising good cholesterol. It lowers risk of glaucoma and calcium deficiency.  In the United States, dietary deficiency of chromium is widespread, resulting from the food processing methods that remove most of the naturally occurring chromium from foods. This is unfortunate, as chromium deficiency leads to many health issues.
Symptoms of Chromium deficiency include:
Fatigue, Anxiety, Depression, Hyperactivity, Glucose intolerance, Irritability, Bipolar disease, Elevated blood cholesterol, Mood swings, Coronary blood vessel disease, Hypoglycemia, Stunted growth, Infertility, Learning disabilities, Obesity, Neuropathy, Increased triglycerides in blood, Decreased sperm count, and Diabetes. (Source:…/chromium-sou…/2011/01/21/id/369734/ )
Supplementing with high-quality chromium is a great idea for everyone, young and old.
#2. It’s source?
There is a wide variety of food sources that have naturally-occurring chromium….primarily meat, including seafood, many different vegetables, some dairy and some whole grains. Also, there are roughly around 10 different herbs that also contain chromium. The chromium used in the Slim has an added benefit over consuming regular chromium all by itself……let me explain: we have a version called “chromium polynicotinate” which consists of chromium bound to niacin (vitamin B3). This is very important, because this bond between these two gives the chromium a much higher absorption rate. Chromium polynicotinate also has higher biological activity then other forms of chromium.
Chromium absorption is typically less then 2% efficient and varies depending on it’s chemical form. Studies have demonstrated that tissues retained anywhere from 2-8 times more chromium when it was in the form of chromium polynicotinate versus other forms such as chromium picolinate or chromium chloride.
As we can see, not all forms of chromium are equal…’s very important to note that Plexus choose the form of chromium that is the very BEST and most easy to assimilate. Chromium Polynicotinate has been recommended by the U.S. Government National Research Council as the superior and preferred form of chromium for bioavailability and biological activity. It contains pure niacin-bound chromium, identified by United States Government researchers as the active component of true GTF (Glucose Tolerance Factor; GTF is responsible for binding insulin to cell membrane receptor sites). You may see chromium polynicotinate labeled as GFT chromium.
#3. Safe for pregnant & breastfeeding mothers?
Again, the type of chromium and the doses of chromium are the deciding factors on whether it is safe for pregnant/breastfeeding moms. Yes, you will find people wary of chromium because they’ve “heard” it can cause liver damage……what they have never researched is the doses it would take to do the damage they fear. And the answer to that is VERY HIGH doses indeed!!! As with all things, “if a little is good, more is not always better”. Meaning, that there is not anything that cannot become damaging when taken in quantities too large…..including herbs, essential oils, and even harmless WATER!
To clam all fears, most every source I can find (and I read many, many, many sources) agree that an “overdose” of chromium does not occur before somewhere around 1,000 mcg per day, and only when this dose is continued for an extended time such as 6 months. One serving of Plexus Slim contains 200 mcg of chromium, so you would have to take 5 Slims per day, every day for half a year before there would be cause for concern of “overdosing/damage”. (Source: many websites and articles, including say that 200-1,000 mcg of chromium have been used to treat diabetes.)
Almost everyone suggests 200 mcg as the perfect dose of chromium, unless you are dealing with diabetes in which case you would need more. Also, for pregnant/nursing moms, not only is chromium SAFE, most practitioners/health experts actually recommend MORE when baby is involved! In the words of Tamyra Comeaux, an OB/Gyn, “A pregnant or lactating woman will require MORE chromium”. She also recommends the 200 mcg dose, and specifically our type of chromium (GFT/chromium polynicotinate) found in Plexus Slim.…/glucose-control-dur…
#4. Sources of “non-Plexus” info:
Here’s a 3 minute video from Dr. Oz’s website of a doctor (unrelated to Plexus in anyway) recommending chromium.…/dr-julie-chen-shares-some-tips
Also, I have been including websites throughout my writings on chromium that show different sources of info.
Chlorogenic Acid
#1. What are the benefits?
Helps regulate blood pressure and blood glucose levels. It can also improve heart health and boost weight loss. The regular ingestion of Chlorogenic Acid significantly helps the flow of bile. Dr. Oz recommends taking Chlorogenic Acid, and he says: “Chlorogenic acid slows absorption of fat from food intake and also activates metabolism of extra fat.”
#2. It’s source?
Green Coffee Bean Extract. Coffee is the primary dietary source of Chlorogenic Acid. Although it’s found in other plants and herbs as well, green, un-roasted coffee beans contain the highest amount of Chlorogenic Acid.
#3. Safe for pregnant & breastfeeding mothers?
YES, once again due to the dose. Caffeine is not recommended (although many mothers do consume it anyway) for pregnancy or breastfeeding; however, Plexus Slim contains less then 2% caffeine. The FDA says that a product can be labeled as “caffeine-free” if it contains less then 2%….the only reason you even see “less then 2% caffeine” on the label is because Plexus is trying to be as transparent with us as possible. Legally, we can say it’s caffeine-free.
Although the choice to consume caffeine while pregnant or breastfeeding has to be your personal decision (it’s controversial), let’s put the 2% caffeine in the Slim into perspective on the “safety scale”.
“The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists recommends a caffeine limit of the equivalent of one to two cups of coffee per day during pregnancy. In a study following 431 pregnant women, no relationship between caffeine consumption up to 300 mg/day and adverse pregnancy outcomes was found. Research has also found no relationship between caffeine intake and fertility and birth defects.” (Source: )
To summarize, if you should be ok with 1-2 cups of regular caffeinated coffee per day according to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, then the 2% caffeine (technically we could say it’s caffeine-free) in the Slim will definitely NOT hurt your baby. To get a good idea of what 2% caffeine actually looks like, consider it to be about the same amount that a decaffeinated coffee would have……I’ll tell you why I draw that conculsion: The FDA requires that 97% of the original caffeine be removed for a coffee to bear the label of “decaffeinated”. So in reality, decaffeinated coffee still has up to 3% caffeine remaining it in, very similar to the amount found in the Slim.
Very, very harmless.
#4. Sources for “non-Plexus” info were listed and are common sense.
Citrin K/Garcinia Cambogia
#1. What are the benefits?
This is another ingredient that Dr. Oz has discussed in the past. Citrin K can act as an appetite suppressant, may improve mood, aid in sleep, and help with emotional eating. Garcinia Cambogia also helps to block fat absorption… preventing liver processes associated with the conversion of energy into fat cells; basically, Citrin K doesn’t allow liver enzymes to metabolize energy and turn it into fat. Rather, it helps channel these calories to be used for developing lean muscle mass and energy to be used up by the body. Garcinia Cambogia also balances serotonin levels.
#2. It’s source?
Citrin K comes from the natural Garcinia Cambogia fruit extract in our Slim.
#3. Safe for pregnant & breastfeeding mothers?
First and foremost, Garcinia Cambogia is a naturally growing plant that can be found in Asia, Australia, Africa and Polynesia. This plant grows a fruit used to make a variety of different medicines. In its natural form, Garcinia would not be consumed in enough quantity to cause a pregnant woman (or her baby) to become ill or suffer any side effects. However, in concentrated forms, Garcinia Cambogia can act as an appetite suppressant, and for this reason alone, it is not generally recommended for pregnant/nursing mothers. To determine if it’s safe for you? Very simple; how much are you eating? IF you make sure that you are eating sufficiently for your baby, then all is well and then YES, Garcinia Cambogia is safe for you & your baby. Again, the ONLY concern is that the pregnant or breastfeeding mother does not begin to starve her baby due to reduced appetite. You will know whether this is a problem or not for your situation.
Often, the Slim has the effect of eliminated sugar cravings (natural side-effect of balanced blood sugars) and eliminating unhealthy cravings….for some, even caffeine cravings disappear! So my advice is to keep taking the Slim for all it’s fantastic benefits, but keep a very close eye on eating adequately for your baby, whether he’s in the womb or nursing. This is your decision, and your personal diagnosis of whether the Slim will actually reduce your appetite to the point that baby is not getting enough calories:)
#4. Non-Plexus sources for info? Self-explanatory…..just make sure you eat enough for baby:)
Dr. Oz recommends 500mg of Garcinia Cambogia 3x a day as a supplement (safe doses for a non-pregnant/breastfeeding person). That would be 1,500mg per day, which is much, MUCH more then Slim contains. I found some online vendors of Garcinia Cambogia who recommended up to 3,000mg per day! The Slim contains the “Plexus Slim Blend”, which is a combination of 3 things: Green coffee bean extract, Garcinia Cambogia fruit extract, plus Alpha lipoic acid……those three COMBINED only equal 530mg, so we know there can’t be large quantities of Garcinia Cambogia present…..again, safety for pregnancy & breastfeeding is all in the DOSES.
Alpha Lipoic Acid
#1. What are the benefits?
Alpha Lipoic Acid serves vital functions at the cellular level, such as energy production. A few studies have shown that Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA) supplements may enhance the body’s ability to use its own insulin to lower blood sugar in people with type 2 diabetes. ALA may also help reduce the symptoms of peripheral neuropathy — nerve damage that can be caused by diabetes. In addition, it is a powerful anti-oxidant! Dr. Mercola has an excellent article that explains the importance of ALA, and he mentions many conditions it helps with. ALA also helps the liver detoxify from heavy metals.
#2. It’s source?
ALA can be found naturally in some of the foods we consume, especially in some organ meats and certain vegetables. The ALA in the Slim is plant-based however. Plexus Slim is 100% vegetarian/vegan (and furthermore, ALL Plexus supplements are non-GMO and gluten-free as well).
#3. Safe for pregnant & breastfeeding mothers? suggests a dose of 600-1,200mg ALA for diabetes and some other health issues. Although there is no established daily recommendation for ALA doses, other sites/articles agree that doses of 600mg or more can be well-tolerated. Our formula contains only 530mg of the COMBINED 3 parts of the “Plexus Slim Blend”, so we know we are getting much less then 500mg ALA. ALA is an anti-oxidant and helps prevent certain kinds of cell damage in the body…..and YES, we need that when we are pregnant & breastfeeding!!!
#4. “Non-Plexus” info…..again, common sense on the need for anti-oxidants at all times, including pregnancy & breastfeeding.
#1. What are the benefits?
Polydextrose has shown benefits in the control of blood-sugar levels when used in the diets of those with type 2 diabetes. According to a study published in the 2009 “Pakistan Journal of Medical Sciences,” the use of Polydextrose significantly reduced blood-glucose levels in subjects with type 2 diabetes , as well as lowering LDL cholesterol, triglyceride, lipoprotein and blood-pressure levels. Polydextrose is made up of 90% soluble fiber. It is digested in the upper GI tract, and partially ferments in the lower GI tract, making Polydextrose beneficial to digestive health in much the same way as natural fibers. It is a prebiotic (prebiotics are very important) and promotes the growth of beneficial bacteria in the intestine. Since Polydextrose travels through the system largely undigested (like fibers), it adds bulk to low-calorie or low-fat foods, adding a feeling of fullness when such foods are consumed, aiding in portion control. It increases fecal bulk, among other benefits, improving GI function. Polydextrose also helps act as a carrier bringing the “good ingredients” like Chromium, and Alpha Lipoic Acid deep into the digestive tract so it can be utilized by the body.
#2. It’s source?
This is where quality plays into this…..the Slim’s Polydextrose is sourced from non-GMO plants, unlike much of the Polydextrose on the market today.
#3. Safe for pregnant & breastfeeding mothers?
The FDA has classified Polydextrose as soluble dietary fiber and completely safe for human consumption. A safety review has stated that there are no toxic issues associated with polydextrose, and that it has been approved for use in over 50 countries for over 15 years.
#4. “Non-Plexus” sources of info….self-explanatory and common sense.
If you “over-dose”, the worst that can happen is what would happen with all other heavy fiber consumption….gas & diarrhea:)
Citric Acid
#1. What are the benefits?
Citric Acid is an anti-oxidant that fights free radicals and helps regulate acidity in the body, improving digestion and protecting against cancer. It also acts as a natural, healthy preservative.
#2. It’s source?
Normally, citric acid is grown on mold which grows atop GMO corn, causing concern to some, rightfully so! However, the citric acid in Plexus Slim is derived from lemon and orange peel, and those fruits are grown according to organic practices.
#3. Safe for pregnant & breastfeeding mother?
“There are no scientific studies that suggest citric acid is unsafe for consumption during pregnancy or any other time. You can consume foods that contain naturally occurring or added citric acid without concern.” This is a direct quote from:…/482947-citric-acid-pregnancy/
#4. “Non-Plexus” source of info: above quote/website, plus common sense.
Natural Flavors
#1. What are the benefits?
These flavors make the Slim taste AMAZING! Slim tastes like a fruity, berry drink!!! (About 98% of people absolutely love the taste:)
#2. It’s source?
Not some kind of “flavors” that could mean just about anything…..The Natural Flavors in Plexus Slim are none other then natural Blueberry & Mulberry.
#3. & #4. Completely self-explanatory.
Beet Root
#1. What are the benefits?
Beet root was used for coloring (this is where the beautiful PINK-colored drink comes from), but it’s no accident that is was chosen….it contains potassium, magnesium, iron & Vitamins A, B6, C & Folic Acid. Some of the benefits of these nutrients? They reduce blood pressure, reduce the risk for heart attack or stroke, help slow progression of dementia, balance blood sugar, promote normal tissue growth and lower cholesterol.
#2. #3. #4. All completely self-explanatory.
Stevia Extract
#1. What are the benefits?
We typically only think of stevia as a great sweetener and leave it at that, but there’s much more to the story! Yes, this is an amazing herb which is a naturally-occurring, no-calorie sweetener. But not only does it have no glycemic effect, it actually regulates and even lowers blood sugar levels! It has been shown to increase insulin production as well as make the cells more sensitive to it’s effects. This would be particularly helpful with Type 1 Diabetics. Though it is often usually solely as a healthy substitute for sugar, in reality, it has been used as an herb for it’s medicinal values by many!! In addition to it’s effects on lowering blood sugar, it also lowers blood pressure, it is an anti-bacterial/anti-microbial, it is an anti-oxidant, helps with chronic fatigue, increases energy, and helps for different digestive issues such as heartburn, indigestion and upset stomach. Many studies have shown Stevia to have significant anti-inflammatory effects, immune-boosting effects, and it’s ability to kill breast cancer cells. Yes, it was added to Plexus Slim as a handy, healthy way to sweeten it, but it goes much deeper then just that!!
#2. #3. #4. All completely self-explanatory.
Lo Han Guo Extract
#1. What are the benefits?
Lo Han Guo Extract is naturally sweet, supports the immune system, digestive tract, glands and respiratory system. It has also been shown to have a powerful effect on diabetes, allergies and cancer. Lo Han Guo seems to show promise at preventing cholesterol from oxidizing, and since this plays a role in the formation of plaque buildup in the arteries it may translate to a decreased risk of heart disease and strokes.
#2. #3. #4. All completely self-explanatory.
Guar Gum & Silicon Dioxiode
#1. What are the benefits?
“Guar Gum & Silicon Dioxiode are natural ingredients used as excipients in the product. They are flow agents that help the product “flow” over the machinery. They are used in very small amounts.” This is a direct quote from my interaction with Plexus.  We know that both are used in very small amounts, and that indeed, they are both totally safe & natural without any adverse effects.
Guar Gum is again a soluble fiber, made from grinding dried guar beans. Once again, this choice has added benefits to lower blood-glucose! Guar Gum slows the rate of starch digestion and glucose absorption following a meal, thus assisting the rest of the formula in lowering blood sugar levels; it’s more then merely a “flow agent”.
Silicon dioxide in food is very important for normal development of bones. Silicon dioxide, also referred to as silica, is necessary to maintain healthy skin, hair, and nails. Did You Know?…silicon is found naturally in foods in the form of silicon dioxide (SiO2). Silicon is never present in its original or free form, and always occurs as silicon dioxide in food. Food safety is of prime concern especially when silicon dioxide is used as an additive. SiO2, added as an anti-caking agent to a food product is not safe when the SiO2 quantity is more than 2 percent of the food’s weight. Silicon dioxide, when added externally to food in the right amount, can produce the intended health effects.

#2. #3. #4. All entirely self-explanatory.
Additional facts to calm any concerns about SAFETY issues:
Plexus does not play any label games in hiding red-flag ingredients…..Slim does not contain any MSG, it’s gluten-free, it’s non-GMO, and is free of all controversial or artificial ingredients. Here are some more details about the making of Slim:
~The ingredients are sourced globally but the Slim is manufactured only in the USA, under strict CGMP protocol.
~Each raw material is sourced from an appropriate supplier and then the raw materials must undergo a variety of tests for purity, potency, CFU’s (if applicable), and identity. Plexus also tests for any type of containment such as heavy metals.
~Plexus then does third party testing to ensure that the label is accurate with what’s in the bottles. In fact, the GREATEST reason for trust on this issue by far is the fact that Plexus ships across the borders internationally…..why does this give us extra trust that the ingredients are actually what they say, and nothing more? Well, because in order to ship and supplements internationally, VERY strict testing is enforced. Other countries will not allow supplements across their borders unless they can prove that the labels reflect EXACTLY what’s in the bottles, and the testing required for international distribution actually take it to standards way above regular third party testing…..if your product was found with something that’s not clearly on the label, you could find yourself in an international government affair/dispute. To get Plexus supplements into the market of another country (such as Canada & Australia), Plexus had to undergo all of it’s regular American testing PLUS all the testing required by the other countries as well; anyone who tries to convince you that the ingredient label is not accurate in any way (or that there are hidden substances in the Slim formula) simply does not understand all the many requirements & testing done for a health supplement company to get permits to distribute internationally. This fact alone can give us 100% peace of mind if all else is questioned. Permission & permits for International distribution is a high standard of quality and “label-honesty & transparency” that far surpasses even American third party testing. Bottom line: there are no hidden ingredients/substances in the Slim. Only the ingredients clearly listed, which we have studied individually in great depth.
~Their databases for research done on individual ingredients are open to the public; the names of the databases they use for research are “Natural Standard” and “PubMed”.
~Plexus is not FDA-approved because it’s classified as a food supplement. (No natural supplements have the ability to be FDA-approved for this reason) However, they are as close as a natural health supplement company can get, which is FDA-compliant.
Plexus has shown us “the people/consumers” that they will go above and beyond to give us a formula that we will absolutely LOVE!!! Down to the last ingredient! On several occasions (at least 2-3 incidents) they were willing to pull a supplement off the shelf and change an ingredient that was controversial. One of these incidents happened a while back with reformulating the Accelerator, and the most recent incident happened in June of 2015 when Mega-X was released with carrageenan present in the shell of the capsule. Well, many people have no problem with carrageenan, seeing that it’s plant-based and derived from edible seaweed. But others of us were bothered by this ingredient…’s something that is avoided in some of our circles. So Plexus graciously pulled the product down off the shelf right after it’s debut (at great financial expense), and reformulated it since it was a controversial issue. Why do I share this story? To give you examples of how Plexus goes ABOVE & BEYOND to make the perfect formula, and how they go the EXTRA MILE for our safety. Even if there are ingredients that are not confirmed as dangerous, but only “suspicious” or controversial, they will remove them. They have demonstrated this very clearly. I can say with full confidence, that all the ingredients in Plexus Slim are not only SAFE, but highly beneficial:)
PROOF IS IN THE PUDDING!!! When all else fails, stop the debates and put it to the test! What better way to find out Slim’s effect on our body & health then by trying it out ourselves:) 1,000’s and 1,000’s of satisfied consumers can’t all be wrong. If Plexus is not truthfully giving us exactly the high-quality ingredients that they claim to, then where are all these life-changing, beautiful results coming from? Cheap ingredient knock-offs or substitutions could never in a million years accomplish what Plexus Slim has done for 1,000’s of us! What they are putting in the formula IS WORKING!!! Our health is being dramatically increased.
On deciding the “safety” of a supplement, doses are probably one of the greatest factors! If you are confronted by someone who claims that any given ingredient in the Slim could cause bodily damage of any kind, it could ONLY be in the cases of severe overdosing. As those of us who study health know, absolutely everything can become dangerous or fatal in quantities too large. Think about all herbs, essential oils, and even WATER! Just because it’s dangerous in a large quantity, does not make it unsafe or non-beneficial in smaller quantities. Many things that are essential to human health can be overdone to our detriment, so there’s no cause for alarm here. You do need to know exactly what those safe doses are for everything in a product you are going to promote, so that is the reason I’m writing this in-depth article. As we gain knowledge, we lose fear.
When you run into negative reviews on Plexus Slim (and no, there is literally not one thing on earth that everyone mutually loves and where everyone agrees), and you WILL surely run into some negative reviews by and by, then remember these key tips: Did this person have a negative experience because of lack of understanding what the product was capable of? Did they know that detoxifying your body can make you feel worse before you feel better? Did they know which doses to start off with? Secondly, and more importantly, is there a HIDDEN AGENDA at trying to discredit Plexus? Believe it or not, there could be a variety of hidden agendas for giving Plexus a bad rap. Probably the number one reason is to promote their own product/diet/view instead. I’ve actually seen someone very actively use the “platform” of Plexus to promote their own products instead…..what happens is people who consider trying Plexus will start to google for reviews, and because Plexus is becoming so popular, you can get TONS of traffic to your “own website/advertising” this way….by writing bad Plexus reviews and promoting something else instead. Also, you will have people in your life that feel smarter and better about themselves if they can prove to you that what you are taking and promoting is indeed “dangerous”. At the end of the day, there will ALWAYS be people who actually go searching for the 5% negativity about Plexus even though there is 95% positive reviews/testimonies/facts/research available. If this happens to you, ask yourself the above questions…..what is the agenda behind the resistance? They may ask “why Plexus?” I ask in return, “why not? What is the REAL reason for resistance (if I’ve provided all the facts and evidence needed to support Plexus Slim)?” You may not be able to change someone’s mind, even with facts, if they have decided to believe the opposing side. It’s OK. We don’t push people. We don’t pressure people. Do your best with providing facts, be sweet & tactful, and then let it go:) It’s all OK:)
Finally, one last argument might be that it’s just too perfect!!! Some have a hard time believing in Plexus Slim because it’s just capable of too many things! And if someone does not understand the science behind all the beautiful effects that the Slim has on our health, it could INDEED sound like a fairy tale, I agree. For example, we say that the Slim will BALANCE… there are those who have been able to lose excess weight with it, and there are also those who were too skinny and have finally been able to put ON some weight for the first time… can this be? While using the same supplement? Also, we have people who with blood sugar levels too HIGH that had them lowered, and at the same time we’ve also had people with blood sugar levels too LOW that had them come up. We’ve similarly had the same thing happen with people’s blood pressure…..coming down if it was high, but coming up when it was too low. Well, if you do the research, you will find that unbalanced blood sugar levels can cause someone to be either too fat OR too skinny. Unbalanced hormones can cause someone to be either too fat OR too skinny. I’m sure everyone understands this concept. Now, think about all the Plexus Slim ingredients we just went over……many, if not most, of those individual ingredients say that they BALANCE (not necessarily just lower) blood sugar levels. This means that once the blood sugar levels are balanced from whatever extreme they were at before, the necessary weight gain OR necessary weight loss can then occur.
There are many plants/herbs/essential oils that can achieve something amazing: “homeostasis”. Homeostasis occurs when opposite variables are regulated so that conditions remain stable and relatively constant; when a state of equilibrium is achieved. I’ll give you a great example of such an essential oil…..helichrysum. Helichrysum is the perfect example for homeostasis; it has the ability to clot blood and stop bleeding in the case of excessive bleeding or hemorrhaging AND on the flip side, it also has the ability to thin blood in the case of existing clots. It only strives for one thing, homeostasis, perfect balance. Likewise, many of the ingredients in Plexus Slim will strive for the “middle ground”, and this explains things like bringing low blood-glucose up, and bringing high blood-glucose down……hence bringing weight up or bringing weight down as needed…….hence also bringing an underactive thyroid up or bringing an overactive thyroid down, and so on and on.
It’s not a “miracle drink”. It only balances in every aspect. But I admit, perfect balance does end up feeling a bit like a miracle to many of us:)
This concludes my article on the safety and effectiveness on Plexus Slim…..May everyone benefit from my long hours of research and enjoy Slim as much as I do:) Are we Plexus ambassadors bias? Yep. We probably are……but rightfully so. Two reasons I believe we can be: Plexus Slim WORKS, plus We’ve. Done. Our. Homework. Enough said:)
